A-dec style fiberoptic bulb has thinner prongs than the #20-205 bulb. Fits A-dec® units made between 1993 and 1997.

Did your bulb burn out faster than usual? Dental handpiece bulbs can burn out prematurely for quite a few reasons. Check your power supply with the help of a multi-meter. It might be putting out excessive voltage and you don't even know it.

1. One indicator of excessive voltage will make the light brighter than usual.
2. Another factor for short bulb life could be cuased by the oil from the handpiece. Look for oil on or around the bulb.
3. When you change your bulb on your handpiece, make sure to war gloves or use a tissue.
4. If you are doing all of the above properly and have checked them out, check the wiring in the handpiece tubing.
