Filters are the routine job

The routine job on a central vacuum is the filter or screen in front of the pump (Practice Tip #60). Change the screen when the filter bowl gets dark and cloudy (Practice Tip #126) rather than on a fixed date, and check the bowl gasket while it’s open.

Finding the right filter

Vacuum filters are sized to the housing and the pump. The Air Techniques and Apollo filters (#49-652 and #49-653) and the DentalEZ/Dentsply filter (#49-651) are the ones practices order most. Pick your pump in the finder below to see the filter kit and screens for that model.
