Implants

Titanium implant instruments and implant-safe scalers — the instruments that will not scratch an abutment.

Buying guide: Implants Show less

Why titanium, and why it matters

A stainless scaler on a titanium abutment leaves scratches that hold plaque and are impossible to polish out in the mouth. The PDT Wingrove and Montana Jack titanium instruments (#PD-64, #PD-65, #PD-66) and the Implaklean plastic scaler range (#PK-00 intro pack, #PK-01, #PK-02, #PK-03) exist for exactly that reason. Buy one set per hygienist and keep it separate from the general instrument pool, because that is how the wrong instrument ends up on the tray.

Around the implant, not just on it

Implant trays with rim lock (#21-396) hold the impression material where it needs to be for an implant-level impression. A Miller bone file (#43-505) is the surgical-side companion. The Implaklean intro pack is the cheapest way to find out which shape your hygienists prefer before committing to sets of three.
