Solmetex Hg5 Amalgam Separation Cartridge

Replacement amalgam separation cartridge for the old-style of SolmeteX Hg5 amalgam separation system (#AL-50) only. This is NOT for the new-style of NXT systems.

Filter changes out in seconds! With the vacuum system still running, remove the full amalgam separation cartridge from the Hg5 unit. First, support the collection container with one hand, while removing the retaining pins with the other hand. Then, tilt the collection container to the side to release the vacuum and pull down to remove the cartridge.

Install new amalgam separation cartridge with the vacuum system still running still. Note the alignment of the fittings on the cartridge with the receiver holes in the upper unit. Then, gently insert the fittings into the receiver holes by rocking the container slightly.

The o-rings on the fittings should seat easily into the upper unit receivers. Next, push the amalgam separation cartridge into the upper unit until it is fully seated. Finally, insert the retaining pins into their correct holes unitl seated. You are now ready to go!
