The burnisher #26/27S is a restorative instrument with a ball-end and is used for smoothing amalgam once it has been condensed (2.1 mm - 1.3 mm).
PDT instruments have a cryogenically treated stainless steel tip will hold its edge up to 7 times longer than competitors.
