ORCA Foam ® absorble hemostatic gelatin sponges rapidly helps control bleeding, significantly reducing intra-operative bleeding and surgical treatment. Has non-toxic, non-allergenic, non-immunogenic, and non-pyrogenic properties. The sponge is composed of highly purified, pH-neutral pharmaceutical gelatin of porcine origin, which provides a hemostatic effect suitable to control bleeding and as a packing material.

• Sponges absorb blood equivalent to approximately 50x its weight and completely abosorbs in vivo within approximately three weeks or less.
