Midwest Quiet Air turbine is a wrench chuck style. For use with both the fiber optic and the non-fiber optic Midwest Quiet Air handpieces.
Product Details:
- End cap included (see #15-82-C).
- Made in USA.
- Has a 6 month warranty.
Installation Instructions (PDF):
- Using specialized wrench provided with your handpiece, unscrew cap from handpiece head, and then remove worn turbine by pushing out from the front.
- Remove foreign material and debris from interior of handpiece head. Compare worn turbine to new turbine to identify any components that may still be present in your handpiece. Use a scaler or explorer to remove all old turbine components including any shims, o-rings, washers, or bearing retainers.
- Once all old turbine components have been removed, use a cotton swab and handpiece lubricant to clean handpiece head. Using air from the air/water syringe, blow out handpiece head to remove any cotton fibers.
- Remove old o-ring(s) and then install new o-ring(s).
- Place new copper washer on the front of the turbine, so that the edges of the washer curve away from the turbine.
- Generously lubricate the turbine, paying particular attention to the o-ring.
- Holding the Midwest Quiet Air turbine bur end up, carefully insert the turbine fully into the handpiece head. It may be necessary to use a slight wiggling motion to fully seat the turbine.
- Finally once the turbine is fully seated, use the appropriate tool to screw the end cap down until flush against the handpiece head.
Replacement Parts: end cap wrench (#15-82-W), bur wrench (#15-70), turbine o-rings (15-82-OR), bearings (#25-200), spindle (#25-300), impeller (#25-400), & chuck (#15-851). For other parts available, please call.
