The auto handpiece holder with top lockout is a space-saving solution for dental operatories. It automatically activates your handpiece when removed from the holder and shutting it off when returned. The convenient top-mounted lockout toggle gives you instant on/off control without reaching for foot pedals, improving workflow efficiency and reducing assistant fatigue during procedures.

Key Benefits:

  • Automatic Activation: Handpiece turns on when lifted from holder and off when returned - no foot pedal needed for basic on/off.
  • Top Lockout Toggle: Convenient top-mounted switch allows instant handpiece shutdown without using the foot control.
  • Improved Workflow: Reduces reliance on foot pedals, freeing up foot control for speed adjustment only.
  • Reduced Assistant Fatigue: Eliminates constant foot pedal operation for simple on/off functions.
  • Space-Saving Design: Keeps handpiece organized and accessible while freeing up counter space.
  • Universal Mounting: Attaches to standard 1/2" diameter holder bars with secure set screws.
  • Durable Construction: Built to withstand daily clinical use and repeated handpiece placement.

Installation Instructions:

  1. Position on Bar: Slide the holder onto your 1/2" diameter holder bar in the desired location.
  2. Align Properly: Orient the holder so the top lockout toggle is easily accessible and the handpiece opening faces the operator.
  3. Tighten Set Screws: Use an allen wrench to tighten the set screws securely (do not over-tighten).
  4. Connect Air Line: Attach your handpiece air supply line to the holder's activation valve.
  5. Test Activation: Place handpiece in holder and remove it to verify automatic activation works properly.
  6. Test Lockout: Toggle the top switch and verify handpiece remains off when removed from holder.
  7. Adjust Position: If needed, loosen set screws and reposition for optimal ergonomics.

NOTE: For a replacement activation valve, see #10-10.
