Surface disinfectant wipes by contact time and canister size. The number that matters is the kill time on the label, not the brand.

Read the contact time before you switch
CaviWipes 2.0 (#EF-53, 160 to a canister; #EF-54 XL, 65) and CaviWipes1 (#EF-58) differ in exactly that: the 1-minute version is for the turnaround between patients, the standard version needs longer to make its claim. PDI Super Sani-Cloth (#EF-79), Sani-Cloth AF3 (#EF-83) and Sani-HyPerCide (#EF-790, #EF-791) each carry their own times. A wipe used for less than its stated contact time has not disinfected anything.
Surface compatibility, and the canister that dries out
Alcohol-based wipes are hard on vinyl upholstery and on some painted equipment covers over time; quaternary and hydrogen-peroxide formulations are gentler, which is why AF3 and HyPerCide exist. Whichever you choose, the canister lid has to close properly — a canister left open is the most common reason a practice gets through wipes faster than it should and the most common reason the last wipes in the tub do not work.
