Rubber dam stabilizing cord by Plasdent offers an alternative solution for a dental clamp or for use with a clamp to secure a rubber dam around a tooth. Due to its material, stabilizing cord is made of an elastic silicone material that wedges interdentally between teeth to hold a rubber dam in place. This helps keep a clean and dry operating field in a patients mouth. It also protects soft tissues from denal instruments.
