We needed a part to fix an issue for an air/water syringe and were able to find it at ADAI! This was after asking our Patterson rep and it ended up saving us quite a bit of money to replace it ourselves. Nitrous oxide (N2O) reservoir bag holds three liters of air. During inhalation of sedation, reservoir bag provides patient additional gas should the respirator demands exceeds the gas flow delivered from the nitrous machine.
Also used to monitor respiration during sedation. Assuming an airtight seal of the nasal hood and no mouth breathing, the reservoir bag inflates slightly with every exhalation and deflates slightly with each inhalation, permitting the operator to easily determine respiratory rate.
