How do bearings work and why do they need to be replace? Bearings have an inner race, outer race, retainer cage, and 7-8 smaller ball bearings. The ball bearings ride on grooved surfaces between the raceways. If any foreign debris is inside of the handpiece bearings, then this will affect its ability to perform. After time, bad bearings will cause your handpiece to fail and will need to be repaired.
TECH TIP: To install the Midwest Quiet Air bearing kit, use a turbine repair press.
In a prosthodontic practice where impression taking happens multiple times a day, the Midwest Quiet Air Bearing Kit is the kind of product that disappears into the workflow — it just works. Priced for standing-order purchasing, the Midwest Quiet Air Bearing Kit keeps supply budgets predictable month to month.
