The Physics ® Forceps (standard upper anterior), standard series, by Directa are extraction instruments that can be used on all teeth, with the exception of third molars. Due to patient access and the instrument's design, the standard series may not be able to access harder to reach second molars. For better access to this location, the molar series should be used.

Product Details:

  • For standard upper anterior areas.
  • The design of the Physics ® Forceps allows you to use them as an elevator, rather than just a forcep.
  • HOW IT WORKS: They do this by using lever mechanics. One side of the handle has a "bumper," which acts as the fulcrum and placed deeper in the vestibule. The other side is connected to the "beak," which is positioned on the lingual or palatal root of the tooth, into the gingival sulcus.
  • This instrument grasps the crown and will not need elevating. Once the forceps are properly positioned, then handles rotate a few degrees with only a wrist movement, in a slow, steady, and controlled manner — no squeezing needed!
  • Made in the USA.

Use Forceps For:

  1. Decayed or broken down teeth
  2. Endodontically treated teeth
  3. Fractured or fragile teeth
  4. Curved or long rooted molars and cuspidors
  5. Any tooth that would normally be challenging with other dental instruments
  6. Especially helpful for implantologists who want to preserve the surrounding bone and tissue, in preparation for dental implants.
