Install Instructions for Universal Push Button Canister (PDF):
- Before replacing turbine, check handpiece for any dents. If there are any dents, contact American Dental Accessories for a handpiece repair.
- First use an end cap wrench to unscrew cap from handpiece, then remove worn turbine out the front (bur end).
- Inspect head of handpiece for any foreign debris or turbine components and remove if present.
- Thouroughly clean and lubricate interor of handpiece with lubricant cleaner.
- Then replace with new turbine. Align the "lock pin" or small dimple on the top of the canister with a small indentation on the inside of turbine cavity. If canister is not properly aligned, then damage may be caused to the handpiece.
- Holding handpiece face down, screw end cap back on and make sure it is flush against the handpiece.
- Before operating, install a bur securely into the turbine. If there is any resistance, then remove turbine and reinstall.
- Lastly, install handpece onto your tubing connector and operate foot control to test function. Lubricate handpiece appropriately.
