SafeMatrix ™ Contour by Medicom ® are single-use matrix bands with a push-button band diverter, which makes them easy to use and helps patient comfort for optimal results.

Product Features:

• Matrices facilitate the restoration of interproximal, anatomical contours, and contact areas of a tooth surface.
• The pre-contoured band creates a smooth external surface against, which helps with packing the restorative material -  reducing the risk of cupping.
• Pre-assembled to accelerate the restoration process, because they eliminate the need to spend valuable chair-time threading a band. Just unwrap and secure on the tooth.
• Each matrix has a tapered neck for enhanced visibility and slim handle with textured grip for improved holding during restorations.

Size Details:

• The narrow-size is 4.5 mm.
• The wide-size is 6 mm.
• Band thickness: 0.038 mm.

How to Use:

1. Preparing SafeMatrix: Before use, adjust the push-button deflector to suit the mouth quadrant in which the SafeMatrix is being used.
2. Positioning SafeMatrix: The push button diverter should be positioned closest to the gum-line to ensure the correct fit around the tooth.
3. Tightening SafeMatrix: Fit the band around the tooth and then  tighten by turning the deep-groove thumbscrew clockwise. Apply wedges and shape the band using a suitable burnishing tool if required.
4. Restore tooth: Perform restoration using normal clinical procedure.
5. Removal: To remove the band finally, first loosen it by turning the handle 2-3 turns anticlockwise.
6. Lastly dispose SafeMatrix in an appropriate Sharps container.
