Luxator's LX Mechanical Periotome starter kit provides safer extraction with minimal tissue damage with the use of a vertical reciprocating tip. The periotome tip follows the root surface and can be used with other luxating instruments.
Safer extractions with minimal tissue damage, the Luxator LX Mechanical Peritome helps access hard to reach areas. Self directing, reciprocating movements allow the periotome tip to follow the root surface and enables a secure cutting of the fibers in a patient friendly way, which will reduce the risk of bone damage.
Product Features:
- Titanium-coated tips will stay sharper longer.
- Uses a standard e-style fitting.
- Runs at 2,000 - 4,000 rpm. Do NOT exceed a rpm of 4,000, because this could cause discomfort in terms of vibration to patient and/or operator.
- Autoclavable tips and handpiece attachment.
Includes: e-type HP attachment, (2) periotome tips (short & long), (1) tip holder, (1) plunger, and instructions.
How to Use:
- Plan the extraction considering separation of a multiple root. Use a probe to find the weak point in the sulcus around the root.
- If using an electric motor, then set the motor to 2,000 - 4,000 rpm.
- Turn off internal water and spray.
- Mount the handpiece.
- Start using 2mm tip, short or long. Observe, no interference with opposite jaw due to risk of vibrations.
- Before use check if the tip is mounted correctly.
- Finally let the tip work itself down in the periodontal pocket all around the root. Start in the weak point.
- If needed change to 3mm tip.
- Continue the extraction while using manual extraction instrument.
