Cleaning Your X-ray Apron:
- Many cleaners will deteriorate the color and the core material of the lead free adult apron. Over time, this could result in tearing or holes, which compromises the safety of the patient.
- Cleaning should be done regularly to promote a more sterile work environment.
- Wipe down with soap and water or specialized cleaner for aprons.
PRACTICE TIP: Do not fold apron. Folding causes cracks in the apron. Use with an apron hanger (#78-CH or #78-AA).
